Experience
Having retired from private solicitor’s practice in 1984, Andrew now sits regularly as an arbitrator under ARIAS and ad hoc agreements and he is happy to sit as wing, chair or sole arbitrator.
He litigated, arbitrated and resolved countless re/insurance disputes since 1986 and clients included large multi-nationals, Lloyd’s syndicates, major re/insurers and alphabet brokers. He was lead partner in important market test cases involving the Exxon Valdez oil spill (King-v-Brandywine) and the Kuwait invasion (Scott-v-Copenhagen Re) LMX reinsurance aggregation issues and in the first WTC 9/11 reinsurance aggregation case (Aioi v Heraldglen), amongst many others.
